Shropshire Music Service is celebrating after winning the Music Education prize at the 2026 Shropshire Music Awards, with a second reason to celebrate as Karen Kirkland, our Lead Teacher for Performance and Events, also won in the Community Champion category.
We are delighted to receive the Music Education award and to share this moment with the pupils, families, schools and partners who make up our musical community. It is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate music education and everyone who helps young people discover and develop their love of music.
A heartfelt thank you goes to everyone who nominated Shropshire Music Service and Karen, and to all those who have supported us along the way. Taking the time to submit a nomination means a great deal, and we are very grateful for your encouragement and support.
These awards are a moment to celebrate together. Thank you to our whole music community for being part of the story, and to the Shropshire Music Awards for this recognition. We look forward to sharing many more musical moments with you.
