The Shropshire Music Service percussion team was in action at Radbrook Primary School, delivering an exciting African Drumming Workshop for Year 1 pupils.
The children had a fantastic time learning all about tempo and pitch, and discovering how these musical elements come alive when playing the drums.
The school hall was filled with rhythm and the sound of enthusiastic young drummers giving it their all. It was wonderful to see the children so engaged and excited about making music.
Our visiting tutor taught them how different sounds can be created and combined, and the children absolutely loved every moment. Workshops like these are at the heart of what Shropshire Music Service does – bringing the joy of music-making directly into schools across the county.
