Shropshire Girls’ Choir & Of One Accord Christmas Concert
On Saturday 18th December we are celebrating 25 years of Shropshire Girls' Choir, with a very special evening of Christmas vocal music. Since forming in 1996, the choir has been a staple of the School of Music. Our flagship vocal group will be joined by our hub partner, Of One Accord, to perform at Shrewsbury Baptist Church, Crowmere Road. This is the perfect opportunity to hear the talents of our students and local community singers.
Choir rehearsal is from 5pm. The concert starts at 7pm with tickets available on the door.

Carols by Candlelight
On Sunday 19th December we are hosting a traditional evening of carols and readings from Music Service students and local community musicians. This candlelight event takes place at St Alkmunds Church in Shrewsbury and will feature Shropshire Youth Concert Band, Shropshire Girls’ Choir and Shropshire Boys’ Choir. Join us for the last event before the holidays and share in the Christmas spirit!
Band and Choir Rehearsal from 4:30pm, concert starts at 6pm.
When: Sunday 19th December, 6pm
Where: St Alkmunds Church, Shrewsbury
Tickets: £6 adults, £3 children, £12 family, all available on the door
COVID Plan B Information
At the time of writing we are planning to go ahead with all of the above events. If this changes we will let parents know via email, and information will be posted on our website and social media platforms. Please observe the following points:
Venues will be well ventilated so warm clothes are advisable for performers and audience members
Masks must be worn by audience members throughout the event unless medical exemptions apply
Masks must be worn by the performers when moving around the venues
Performers will need to register in and out of each event. Registers will be held by ensemble leaders
